General Information
Blackboard course shells release 8 weeks prior to the start of a semester. For specific dates when semester shells release, see Blackboard Shell Access & Availability. At times, courses may begin before the official start of the semester, which means a Blackboard course shell may not yet be available. When this occurs, the Learning Systems Support team can create a course shell in advance of the semester’s release. To request an early course shell, please use this form.
