SuccessFactors LMS Onboarding Request

General Information

SuccessFactors LMS is CMU’s campus-wide system for managing and delivering non-academic training. SuccessFactors LMS allows users to discover and register for available training, and to complete that training if it is available electronically. Departments can adopt SuccessFactors LMS to create, schedule, build, assign, and publish training items offered to the campus community or any portion thereof. Supervisors can assign learning to, and report on the learning history of their direct reports. 

In order to use SuccessFactors LMS to manage and deliver training, a department must first go through an onboarding process. This process will involve

  • Working with a project team to ensure that the department's use cases can be met in SuccessFactors LMS
  • Designating one or more learning administrators to manage the department's use of SuccessFactors LMS
  • Training learning administrators on the use of SuccessFactors LMS
  • Configuring SuccessFactors LMS for the department's use
  • (Optional) Importing existing training records into the SuccessFactors LMS

Users from already onboarded departments may also Request a Security Change for themselves or on behalf of another user.

Eligibility

Faculty and staff on behalf of their department

Cost

There will be a charge for the onboarding process as well an annual charge per user who receives training from the department (the annual charge for users who receive training from multiple departments will be shared between those various departments). Developing an estimate of these costs is part of the initial consultations.
