Module
Learning modules contain multiple items relevant to a single chapter, unit, or week of a course. Modules are generally themed and separate and sequence categories of content throughout a course.
Folder
Folders are similar to modules in that they contain multiple different content items. Folders differ from modules as they are not themed nor do they have a specified sequence, but rather are meant to house a list of items to avoid clutter.
Cloud Document
Cloud documents are items that are uploaded from your instructor’s OneDrive. These items will update automatically as your instructor edits them.
Course Link
Course links send the user to another area of the course and are indicated with a small “link” icon in the top left corner of the relevant item.

A link will always take you to an external website.
