General Information
CMU strives to ensure that its workstations are configured in a manner that provides appropriate protections against security threats and is consistent with regulatory compliance requirements. More information is documented in the Secure Configurations Policy that covers workstations (3-49).
If after reviewing the policy, or encountering a security control that affects the ability to complete your work or research from a CMU workstation, you may need to request review for a possible exception. Click the Request Exception button to initiate this process.
The more specific information you can include in your justification, the better. Please be as detailed as you can on which controls are problematic and how it is (or will) impact your work.
Eligibility
Primarily all current faculty, staff, and student employees.
Cost
Generally, there is currently no charge for this service. However, additional costs may apply under special circumstances.
