Overview
The AI Assist tool gives users the option to generate content using items within one’s Blackboard Ultra course. For example, you may generate test questions or prompts from a PDF. Documents, links, 3rd party software, and graded activities may all be used as a basis to generate course content.
As discussed in the AI assist tool article, you may use Blackboard’s AI tool to generate the following:
Procedure
1. Please refer to the guides listed above regarding how to access the AI assistant for each of the options.
2. On the left-hand menu, click the “Select Course Items” option.
3. From here, you will be prompted to select items within your course. You may select up to 100 items as a reference for AI generation. Please note that you must click each individual item rather than the folders or modules that they are stored within. The items that you select will appear in the right-hand menu.
3. Click “Select Items” to confirm your choices. The "Select Items" option will have a number indicating how many items you selected. Note that you may still add a description and toggle the options as needed.
4. Select "Generate" to create content. While the selection screen will differ depending on what type of course item you plan on creating, you will be prompted to click the box(es) next to your desired items to deploy them to the course.
5. Click "Add to Course" in the bottom-right side of the screen to include the content in your course. From here, you may edit or delete these items as needed. Please note that the items that you create will be hidden by default.
