Dual Enrollment Initiative - FireUp! Forward

General Information

The Fire Up! Forward dual enrollment program at Central Michigan University (CMU) allows high school students to earn high school and college credit simultaneously. By participating in Fire Up! Forward, students can get a head start on their college education, saving time and money, and gaining valuable experience and skills that can benefit them in their future academic and career pursuits. Students from school districts, who partner with CMU, enroll in the same university level courses delivered to students on the main campus in Mount Pleasant, MI. Dual enrollment courses meet both high school and collegiate requirements for credit toward a high school and associate and/or bachelor’s degree. Students must meet eligibility requirements as set forth by their high school to ensure they receive high school credit for specific courses. Students must also meet admission requirements to CMU under the Fire Up! Forward dual enrollment program.
