When to Use?
Blackboard Annotate is the tool used for inline grading in courses. Bb Annotate offers a robust feature set to provide customizable feedback to students. Features include a sidebar summary view, freehand drawing tools, various color selections, and much more.
Procedure
There are multiple ways to access work that needs to be graded:
- From the Grid View, select Grade Now, then View
2. OR from List View:
- Gradable Items tab: click on the assessment with work submitted to grade, then on the student with an attempt to grade
- Students Tab: click on a student name, click on assessment in need of grading
Once in the inline grading panel, you can view and annotate Word, PowerPoint, and PDF file types with in the Bb Annotate browser.
- When finished, assign a grade by clicking in the grade pill near the top:
- If desired, provide feedback at the top of the panel. Select Save when completed.
- Students will not see any annotations until you post the grade.
