Perceptive Content: Error - Private Filters Need to be Changed After the Update to EP2 Perceptive Content

On 12/5/2020 CMU updated Perceptive Content to version EP2. One effect of that upgrade is the loss of wildcard searches. Previous versions of Perceptive Content allowed us to use % (the percent sign) as a wildcard. As of 12/5/2020 that will no longer work.

How to Edit Your Private Filters:

Private filters do not have the blue dot next to them.

  1. Open your Private Filter like you're trying to find a Document or Folder

  2. Click Cancel to begin editing

  1. For each Condition using the Starts With operator, you'll need to change the Operator Field (using the drop-down list) to Contains and delete (Use % for Wildcard) from the Message Field

  2. Select OK to save

This shows a before and after for one condition.

When you're done editing the Conditions you'll need to Save and Over-Write your Private Filter.

Click OK and Yes to overwrite.

This should save your Private Filter with the changes you just made.

To create a private filter please see this Knowledge Base article: Perceptive Content: Set Up a Personal (Private) Filter.
