Perceptive Content: Create / Modify VirtualReScan (VRS) Profiles

NOTE: Modifying VRS profiles requires the VRS software to be installed and licensed. This is typically achieved via the installation of a Fujitsu fi-6000 series scanner. Users with fi-7000 series scanners will not have proper licensing for VRS and must use Paperstream instead. For more information, contact the Help Desk.

NOTE: This article assumes that Perceptive Content has already been configured with device, scanner, and capture profiles. For assistance with setting those profiles up, please contact the Help Desk.

Creating a New Profile

  1. In the system tray, right-click the VRS icon and select Preview
    • If the tray icon does not appear, begin a scanner capture session. The VRS software typically launches at this time
  2. Click the Profile menu, then click Organize Profiles
  3. Select F5 - Default settings and then click Save As
    • This will create a new VRS profile based on the default settings
  4. In the prompt, select a name for the new profile
  5. Select the new profile and click Load
  6. Click Close to close the Organize Profiles window
  7. Modify the profile as desired, taking care to click Profile > Save or press CTRL + S periodically to save the settings
