Web Content Management & Environment Support

General Information

The Web Content Management service is intended to be used for making requests related to CMU's current (cmich.edu) and Legacy (www2.cmich.edu) website.  This will include service offerings such as Short URL Requests and Web Accessibility Issues.

The Office of Information Technology is committed to sound data stewardship. To ensure that www.cmich.edu remains secure, content editors and site owners must comply with the following policies:

Eligibility

All faculty, staff, and students are eligible for technical support. Departments and colleges can create new sites and delegate permissions as necessary. Permissions to create and modify content vary by individual department policy and preferences.

Cost

There is currently no charge for this service.

CMU Website (Sitefinity)
The CMU website is hosted within our Content Management System (CMS) Sitefinity managed by UComm's Digital Strategy Team.
CMU Legacy Website (WWW2)
Web Content Management Question or Request is intended for changes in access permissions or site text in CMU's legacy website (www2).
Short URL Request
The Web Director was created to maintain a managed and functional environment for redirects. This service offering can be used to request new short URLs or changes to existing ones.
Web Accessibility Compliance
Issues accessing any web content or any other accessibility issues.
