Video layouts enable you to save a template of monitored cameras, allowing you to instantly bring those cameras into the viewing tiles.
Create a Layout
Creating a layout is easy; however, it is essential to place layouts in an appropriate area or partition to keep Security Desk organized.
- Open Security Desk
- Open the Monitoring task
- Under the left-hand navigation, choose cameras to add to the viewing pane
- Change your tile pattern if needed from the button at the bottom
- Once the desired cameras are selected, right-click on the Monitoring tab at the top and choose Save as layout...

- In the layout dialog, choose the area and partition for the building that this layout will belong to
- If the layout includes cameras from multiple buildings, choose the _MULTI-AREA LAYOUTS area and partition
- Provide a descriptive name for the layout
- Click Save
The new layout will be available from the left-hand navigation. You can double-click the layout to load the cameras into the viewing pane.
Update a Layout
To modify an existing layout, open/view the layout. Add/remove cameras, or update the tile pattern. Once the viewing panel is set, right-click on the layout from the left-hand navigation and choose Overwrite with current layout
