Error
In rare cases, images may be garbled or unreadable after conversion to TIF. Symptoms may include:
- Missing letters from fillable PDFs
- Blurry text
- Overly darkened watermarks that block out portions of the file
- Formatting errors after conversion
Cause
Perceptive Content uses a feature called File Conversion Component to convert documents to the TIF image format TIF for usability and to save space. Occasionally, the result is some documents convert poorly or incorrectly.
Solution
Perceptive Content keeps a backup of all documents converted to TIF for 60 days. To restore a document, submit a ticket for Perceptive Content and be sure to include the information necessary for administrators to find the original, such as the doc name, fields 1-5, the drawer, and / or the doctype. The administrators will locate the backup and restore it within 2-3 business days.
