Capture Profiles
Capture profiles are stored in each respective user's %AppData%\ImageNow\inscan.xml file. This file can be copied and replaced as needed across many user-profiles and workstations. As this file is stored in the user's AppData folder, this is a per-user per-workstation setting.
NOTE: The Perceptive Content administration team might be utilizing server-side profiles to deploy profiles to certain users. These profiles are deployed to users based on user membership in Perceptive Content groups. For more information, contact the Perceptive Content team.
Device Profiles
Similar to capture profiles, device profiles are stored in each respective user's %AppData%\ImageNow\indevice.xml file. It should be noted that these settings may be specific to certain scanner hardware and should only be copied to machines with new hardware after consulting the Perceptive Content team.
VRS Profiles
NOTE: These profiles are only stored on machines configured with a Fujitsu scanner (e.g., fi-6240, fi-6130) with VirtualReScan installed.
Back up all of the [drive]:\Program Files (x86)\Kofax\ImgCtls\bin\profiles\*.cps files. When migrating to a new machine, install the VRS software and move these new files back to the specified directory.
