The Message tool in Blackboard Ultra replaces the E-Mail tool in Blackboard original. Messages sent in the Message tool will be available to recipients to reply to in the Message tool and will create a message chain within the Message tool. The messages sent in the Message tool will also send an email message to the recipient. If the recipient uses a standard email reply the sender will receive an email but the message chain in the Message tool will not be updated.
