NOTE: This document will provide steps to install the Windows desktop client. As there is no macOS client, Mac users should use the web-based Experience client.
Recommended Installation
If your department or college uses the Software Center Configuration Manager (SCCM), you may update to the Perceptive Content client by using the Software Center.
- Click the Start button
- In the Search field type Software Center
- Click on the resulting Software Center link

- Under Applications, click Perceptive Content. NOTE** take the one marked "new" and/or the HIGHEST version Number

- Click Install

Manual Installation
These steps require local administrator privileges. If you are not an administrator on your computer or do not feel comfortable installing or configuring software, please contact the Help Desk for assistance.
- Using Windows Explorer, navigate to the path: \\imagenow-prd\client\current
- Copy the ClientSetup_(version).exe file to your desktop
- Right-click on the file on your desktop
- Click Run as Administrator
- If a User Account Control windows pops up, click Yes to allow the program to make changes to your device
- Click OK to confirm the language choice
- If prompted, click Install to install the Microsoft Visual C++ requirement; this may take a few moments to install
- When next prompted, click Next to begin the installation
- Accept the Terms of the License Agreement
- Scroll to the bottom of the license agreement text and click I accept the terms in the license agreement
- Click Next
- Install the ImageNow Printer
- Click the Down Arrow next to ImageNow Printer and click This feature will be installed on local hard drive
- Click Next
- If prompted for connection profile information, enter the following:
- Profile name: ImageNow PRD
- Server name: imaging.apps.cmich.edu
- Port number: 6000
- Click Next
- Leave the Deployment Server URL text box blank
- Click Next
- Select desired shortcut locations
- Click Next
- Click Install
- Allow the installation a few minutes to complete. The installation may open and close a few pop-up windows while running - this is normal
- Click Finish
