Setting Column Visibility in the Gradebook

Instructors can configure column visibility for their view of the Gradebook to provide a cleaner and more organized workspace when grading. Visibility settings apply to all Gradebook views for non-student users (instructors, TAs, graders), including all tabs of the Gradebook (Grade tab, Gradable Items tab, and Overview tab). The student view of any grading-related page is unaffected. If an instructor hides a column from their Gradebook, that column continues to appear and be visible for students.  To hide a column from student view, the graded activity must be hidden from students.

From the Gradebook, click on the gear icon to open the Settings panel, scroll down to Item Management, then click on the Manage Gradebook Items link.

From the Items Management page, instructors can configure visibility for a single column selection or in bulk.  Toggling the Instructor Visibility button off for a specific activity hides the column in the Gradebook from the Instructor's View.  It is important to emphasize, students can still see the column even when hidden from the instructor's view.
