Emoji Grading Schema

 

 

Creating An Emoji Grading Schema

When it is desired to use a grading schema comprised of visual images versus letter grades, you can create an Emoji Grading Schema.  NOTE:  Emoji Schemas must be created in Google Chrome as Chrome provides this ability.  Once created, the emoji images are viewable in other browsers.

 

From the Gradebook, click on the Gear Icon to open up the Gradebook settings panel > Manage Grade Schemas:

Click the + Add button to add a new schema and give it a name (aka Emoji Schema) > enter in values desired > in the Grade Name column, delete the existing letter grade, right click, select Emoji from the menu > select desired emoji:

From the Graded Activity, select the Gear Icon to Edit > select to Grade Using your Emoji Schema:

Grading

From the Grading panel, type in the score earned in the grade pill.  Based on the corresponding equivalent, the emoji will appear in the gradepill once you hit enter:
