Gradebook Statistics

Overview

The Gradebook statistics function allows you to gain insight on your students’ performance on graded content. You may view statistics for any graded item in the course. The statistics area displays data regarding the grading status of assignments, the distribution of grades, and the following metrics:

  • Minimum and maximum value
  • Range
  • Average
  • Median
  • Standard Deviation
  • Variance

How to Access

1. Once you have entered your course, select the “Gradebook” icon from the upper menu. You may locate this item within the “Gradable Items” or “Grades” tabs.

2. Locate your assignment of choice.

3a. In the “Gradable Items” tab, select the three dots icon to the right of your assignment. From here, select the “Statistics” option.

3b. In the “Grades” tab, select the icon above your assignment of choice. From here, select the “Statistics” icon.
