QuikPAY: Nelnet Campus Commerce Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) Technical Support

As of 2/12/2024 CMU students, employees, and Authorize Payers are obligated to use a multi-factor authentication (MFA) process in order to access the QuikPAY system, which is hosted by Nelnet Campus Commerce, in order to submit payment to CMU. 

Communication to CMU account holders and Authorized Payers alerting them to Nelnet's MFA requirement will be going out on or about 2/8/24, 2/12/24, and 2/28.

Please note, this is a different MFA solution than the Duo MFA that ensures more secure access to general CMU systems, and is specific to QuikPAY access.

Technical Support

The CMU Student Account Services and University Billing (SASUB) and Office of Information Technology (including the Help Desk) departments have no administrative access to the MFA system enforced by Nelnet Campus Commerce.

For assistance with the QuikPAY MFA process, including questions, setup, or for any technical issues experienced, please contact Nelnet technical support at 888-470-6014. If the user would like to set up MFA with an alternative email address instead of using an Authentication app, they will need to notify Nelnet that they are "coming in as a cmich user to pay their phone bill via View & Pay Accounts in the QuikPay system, and that in order to properly set up MFA with their e-mail address, they need to add a secondary e-mail onto their profile".
