Explanation
Upon logging into Blackboard Ultra, select the “Calendar” option from the left-hand menu. From here, you may select several filters that can assist you in locating upcoming assignments, class meetings, and other events.
Default Daily View – Upon entering the calendar, the main view will display any items due or taking place on the current day.
Clicking on an event or class meeting will display more details about said item. In the example below, one would be able to select the WebEx link to join their digital class session.
Clicking on an assignment link will open a menu on the right side of the screen. Selecting the “View Assignment” option will take you to the assignment page where you may turn in your work and see how many points said assignment is worth.
Due Dates – Alternatively, you can select the “Due Dates” option in the top-left corner so that you can only see upcoming assessments and assignments for each of your courses.
Monthly View – In the top-right corner, you may select “Month” to have a monthly view of your upcoming course work and lecture dates.
Your Personal Calendar – You may use the plus sign icon in the top-right corner to add your own event to your calendar. Click the title at the top of the screen to add your own meeting label.
Select the calendar and clock icons under “Details and Information” to select the date and duration where a meeting will take place.
You may also clarify the location and give a description of the appointment.
Once you are finished, select “Save” at the bottom-right corner of the screen. If done correctly, the event that you created will appear in your calendar.
