Introduction to Ultra Course View

Blackboard Ultra presents an intuitive, modern interface centered on the learner, that provides powerful new capabilities, and presents content in an accessible, fully responsive design. While Ultra contains most of the features found in Original Course view, names for these items may have changed along with where they are found inside the Ultra course. 

The Ultra Overview video series will provide a tour of an Ultra course shell, explaining the different areas and menus.  This video series contains the following videos:

NOTE:  Blackboard, Inc. updates our LMS environment regularly, providing patches and fixes and releasing new features and tools.  Therefore, some features and screen shares shown in these videos may not reflect the latest capabilities or current Blackboard environment.

(3) Main Areas of an Ultra Course

1. Course Content Page:  This is the primary course area. From here users can explore course content, complete graded activities, and navigate to other areas of the course.

2. Upper Menu Tab: This menu located in the upper left area of a course provides access to the Calendar feature, Announcements, Discussions, Gradebook, Messages, Analytics and Groups.

3. Details and Actions:  The menu found in the lower left pane provides access to such items as the course roster, course availability, and tracking attendance.
