This guide pertains to Ultra Course View.

If your course is in Original Course View, see the Original Course View tutorial collection.

This article will show how to export and import a course between two Blackboard Ultra courses. You can export your course content for use in the future. This content is included in an export/archive package:

  • Course content
  • Rubrics associated to assignments
  • Calendar events, including office hours and course schedule
  • Discussions
  • Gradebook settings
  • Manual gradebook items
  • Goals alignments
  • Attendance for archives only
  • Course announcements

NOTE: This process is between two Blackboard Ultra courses.

You will be prompted on whether you want to include student activity data in the export package. If you select:

  • No, you will only export the course content. This is the preferred choice when using the package to copy or save the course content.
  • Yes, this creates a course archive that includes both the course content and student information/submissions
    • NOTE: If selected, all student submissions will be included and will need to be deleted manually once restored or copied into another course.
