Course Shell Modality Types and modality changes in Blackboard

Lab Blackboard shells are created for Classroom Blackboard shells that typically require additional Lab shells or merged Lab shells. The additional Lab shell is optional and can be set to unavailable if it is not needed. The course IDs now have a suffix related to the modality type.

Suffixes include:

  • _WEBS (synchronous online)
  • _WEBA (asynchronous online)
  • _CR (classroom)
  • _HYBR (hybrid)
  • _LAB (lab)
