Overview
Central Michigan University utilizes the Transact system for billing and online payment. It replaced the previous payment system, QuikPAY, in June 2025.
Online Payments for Current and Former CMU Students and Employees
Online payments can be initiated by logging into Transact with your Global ID and password, and then selecting the Make a Payment option from the left navigation menu.
NOTE: When attempting to access Transact, an Office 365 Sign in box may appear and prompt for 'GlobalID@cmich.edu'. Some accounts that need to access Transact for online payment may not have a cmich.edu email account associated with them, but do have a Global ID and password. In these cases, two options are available:
1. When prompted to enter 'GlobalID@cmich.edu', try entering GlobalID@cmich.edu anyway. In the vast majority of cases, it will still work, even for accounts that do not have an email address, and redirect to the sign-in page where the actual Global ID and password can be entered.
2. Visit
https://commerce.cashnet.com/cmichpay and click the
Register link (under the Sign In button). Enter the
Student ID (Campus ID associated with the CMU account) and a
Shared Secret (password) to use to access the account in the future. Please note, this information will only be recognized at the
https://commerce.cashnet.com/cmichpay link.

Online Payments for Authorized Payers (Parents, Guardians, and Others)
Current and former CMU students and employees may authorize external-to-CMU individuals (parents, guardians, etc.) to access their electronic billing account by first accessing Transact, selecting the My Account option in the left navigation menu, and clicking the Send payer invitation link in the Payers section of the page. Further instructions will be sent to the email account provided in the Payer Invitation information provided. Additionally, individuals authorized to access electronic billing information may also inquire with Student Account Services and University Billing staff about the CMU accounts with which they are associated.
Authorized Payers must access Transact at https://commerce.cashnet.com/cmichpay?LT=P
