Unused Files: Locating & Deleting from the Course

Body

This guide pertains to Ultra Course View.

If your course is in Original Course View, see the Original Course View tutorial collection.

Overview

The unused files tool allows you to access files that have been uploaded to your course but are not currently in use. Documents that are hidden or under release conditions are not considered unused.

How to Access

Enter your Blackboard Ultra course and select the three dots option on the right side of the screen. Select “Unused files”.

From here, you may view every file in your course that is not being used. The file’s name, uploaded date, and size are all displayed and can be clicked to resort your options. You may download any of the files by selecting the black arrow icon on the right side of the item.

To delete files, select the check box next to each item that you plan to delete. To select all files, click the check box in the top left corner. From here, select “Delete Files”.

Lastly, you may use the drop-down option under “List view” to sort between the unused and active files in the course. Please note that active files cannot be deleted from this screen.
