Perceptive Content: Install Fujitsu fi-6130 Scanner

NOTE: These steps require local administrator privileges. If you are not an administrator on your computer or do not feel comfortable installing or configuring hardware, please contact the Help Desk for assistance.

 

Firstly, disconnect the scanner from the computer if it is currently connected and don't reconnect it until prompted to do so. Then follow the steps in order to complete the process:

  1. Install TWAIN Driver
  2. Install ISIS Driver
  3. Install VirtualReScan (VRS)
  4. Install Scanner Drivers

 

Install TWAIN Driver

  1. As an administrator, run \\imagenow-prd\client\Scanner Files\Fujitsu 6130\TWAIN\Setup.exe
  2. At the Welcome screen, click Next
  3. At the Information screen, click Next
  4. At the License Agreement screen, click Yes to accept the License Agreement
  5. At the Choose Destination Location screen, leave the default value (C:\Program Files (x86)\fjtwain) and click Next
  6. At the Select Features screen, ensure all features are selected (TWAIN Driver, TWAIN Manager, Support Tools) and click Next
  7. At the Select Program Folder screen, leave the default value (Scanner Utility for Microsoft Windows) and click Next
  8. At the Start Copying Files screen, click Next to begin the installation
  9. Allow the installation some time to complete
  10. When complete, select Yes to reboot the computer and click Finish
     

Install ISIS Driver

  1. As an administrator, run \\imagenow-prd\client\Scanner Files\Fujitsu 6130\ISIS\Setup.exe
  2. At the Setup Language screen, click Next
  3. At the Welcome screen, click Next
  4. At the License Agreement screen, click I accept the terms of the license agreement then click Next
  5. At the Ready to Install screen, click Install to begin the installation
  6. Allow the installation some time to complete
  7. When complete, select Yes to reboot the computer and click Finish
     

Install VirtualReScan (VRS)

  1. As an administrator, run \\imagenow-prd\client\Scanner Files\VRS - Blue Disk\setup.exe
  2. At the Welcome screen, click Next
  3. At the License Agreement screen, select I accept the terms in the license agreement and click Next
  4. At the Destination Folder screen, leave the default value (C:\Program Files (x86)\Kofax\ImgCtls) and click Next
  5. At the Certified Scanners list, select Fujitsu fi-6130 and click Next
  6. At the Ready to Install the Program screen, click Install to begin the installation
  7. Allow the installation some time to complete
  8. At the Completed screen, click Finish
  9. At the prompt to reboot, click Yes to restart the computer
     

At this point, you should connect the scanner to the computer and turn it on.

 

Install Scanner Drivers

  1. As an administrator, run \\imagenow-prd\client\Scanner Files\VRS - Blue Disk\Scanner Drivers\Fujitsu\CI-fi-6130.exe
  2. Allow the installation some time to complete
  3. At the Installation Success screen, click Finish

 

The scanner installation is complete. In order to use the new scanner, log in to Perceptive Content as a user with the ability to manage capture profiles and edit as required.
