General Information
Click the Request Information button to ask about CMU resources such as screen reader software, note taking software, speech to text software, CART (Communication Access Real-Time Translation), or eText resource requests, or utilizing your operating system's accessibility features. These technologies are designed to improve your ability to interact with technology in a more meaningful way, increasing productivity, and thereby promoting success. The more specific information you can include in your request, the better (and likely faster!) assistance the technicians assigned to support you can provide.
Eligibility
All Students, Faculty, and Staff are eligible to utilize Adaptive Technology. However, some specific software packages or devices require registration / documentation / authorization from Student Disability Services, Faculty Personnel Services, or Human Resources, depending upon your role within the institution, and the capacity in which you require assistance.
Cost
Generally, there is currently no charge for this service.
