Summary

Taking a LockDown Browser Test in Ultra

Body

This guide pertains to Ultra Course View.

If your course is in Original Course View, see the Original Course View tutorial collection.

Note - If a test with LockDown Browser (LDB) enabled is copied over to Ultra from Bb Original, the test comes over with the "password required" setting enabled.  In ultra the "password required" setting is independent to the LDB settings once enabled.  The "password required" setting will need to be disable for the LDB test to open.

The Respondus LockDown Browser must be installed on the students computer prior to taking a test that requires the Respondus LockDown Browser.

The student will access the LDB test in a regular browser (ex chrome or firefox) and then click on a button that open the LDB and proceed taking the test in the LDB.

If the student tries to open the Blackboard LockDown Browser (LDB) test directly in the LDB the message shown below will be displayed.

When the student accesses the LDB in a regular browser (ex chrome or firefox) the message below will be displayed.  After clicking on the Open LockDown Browser button the previously installed LDB will open the LDB test.

When the student completes the LDB exam the student will click on the Submit button.

The message below indicates a successful submission.
