Adding Images or Video to a Test

This guide pertains to Ultra Course View.

If your course is in Original Course View, see the Original Course View tutorial collection.

Adding Images to a Test

Images can be added to a test question in one of two ways:

  1. From the question, click the + icon in the content editor menu.  With this option, you must know the URL to the image.
  2. From the question desired, click the paper clip icon > search for image on your desktop > double-click on image to add > give image a name, determine if image is decorative and doesn't require alt text or add alternative text, determine file options.

If you add a large image, it's a good idea to include the image as a separate text link. This way, your students can select the link to view the image separately and more clearly, while still able to read your text.

Insert Media into a Test

Media can be inserted into a test question by clicking on the + icon found in the content editor > media. Paste the URL to the desired video > Insert. The video is automatically embedded into the content so it appears with other content included. Students can view the content, such as a video, within the same window without having to navigate to the media's site.

You can embed content from these sites:

  • VidGrid
  • Panopto™
  • FlipGrid
  • SlideShare
  • Prezi
  • VoiceThread
  • Khan Academy
  • Kaltura
  • SoundCloud
  • Spotify®
  • NearPod
  • Quizlet
  • EdPuzzle
  • H5P
  • Vimeo®
  • YouTube™
  • Office365
