Course Calendar

This guide pertains to Ultra Course View.

If your course is in Original Course View, see the Original Course View tutorial collection.

When to Use?

The course calendar can be used by both instructors and students to easily check for upcoming class events and due dates. Each event or due date that you create will automatically update the calendar. Choose Your View

1. To access the calendar, select the “Calendar” option after entering your course.

2. The “Schedule” option will display upcoming due dates and events via a weekly or monthly view. To change the view, select the “Day” or “Month” option in the top-right corner of the screen.

3. The “Due Dates” filters out upcoming meetings and only displays assignments and test due dates.

Share Your Calendar

You may opt to share your calendar with yourself to keep your obligations on one schedule. Please note that you cannot share individual course calendars.

1. On the main Blackboard homepage, select the “Calendar” option from the list on the left-hand side of the screen.

2. Select the gear or settings icon in the top-right corner of the screen.

3. Click on the three dots option and click the “Share Calendar” button.

4. Select the “Copy” option to copy the calendar into your clipboard.

Add Your Calendar to Outlook

1. Open the Microsoft Outlook app.

2. Select the calendar option from the bottom-left menu.

3. Select the “Add” drop-down option from the top menu and select “From Internet”.

4. Paste the course link and select “OK”. See the above list for details on how to access this URL.

5. If done correctly, there should be a “Blackboard, Inc.” option under the “Other Calendars” drop-down located on the left-hand side of the screen. Checking this option will display your courses’ events, class meetings, and due dates on a separate calendar.
