To allow students the use of charts, graphs, formulas, etc. on an exam requiring the use of Lockdown Browser, the file must first be added to the course as a PDF. To add the PDF to the course, go to the Purple Plus, then select Upload > Upload Files, and add the needed PDF to the course:
Once the needed file has been added to the course, go to the assessment where the file is to be used by students when taking the test. Select to the Gear Icon to open the test settings panel, then go to Respondus Lockdown Browser Dashboard, then access the Settings of the desired exam.
In the Description box, add instructions to students indicating the use of the allowed material. Be sure to clearly list the name of the item being allowed. Highlight that name and click the chain icon in the menu:
At the next screen, click on Browse Course locate the PDF file previously uploaded into the course, click the radial button in front of it, then Submit:
Be sure to set the Target to open in a new window, then chose Insert:
You will then see a hyperlink on the name of the permitted materials. Click Submit, then OK at the next screen.
