Perceptive Content: Error - Cannot Print to ImageNow Printer in Color

To print to the ImageNow printer in colore - Change Color reduction =BW to Color Reduction=Color in the inowprint.ini

Error

End-users select a Color Document > Change the Paper / Quality to Color in the Printing Preferences but the document still prints (creates a document) in Perceptive Content.

 

Solution

This solution requires elevated access / rights. You'll need to edit one line in the inowprint.ini file and save it.

1. From File Explorer, open: (with admin rights if necessary) C:\Program Files (x86)\ImageNow\etc\inowprint.ini
2. If you use Notepad++, it's likely line 183 Color reduction=BW should be changed to Color reduction=Color then saved
3. Once this change is made and saved, you should be able to go back to the Printer Preferences and change to color
