Perceptive Content: Install Fujitsu fi-7160 Scanner

NOTE: These steps require local administrator privileges. If you are not an administrator on your computer or do not feel comfortable installing or configuring hardware, please contact the Help Desk for assistance.

Firstly, disconnect the scanner from the computer if it is currently connected and don't reconnect it until prompted to do so. Then follow the steps in order to complete the process:

1. Install TWAIN Driver
2. Configure Scanner in Perceptive Content

Install TWAIN Driver

1. As an administrator, run \\imagenow-prd\client\Scanner Files\Fujitsu 7160\Disk1\Setup.exe
2. At the Welcome screen, click Next
3. At the Select Software screen, check PaperStream IP (TWAIN) and Scanner Central Admin Agent, then click Next
4. Follow the prompts and accept the defaults. You will need to reboot the machine and log back in as an administrator to finish the install

At this point, you should connect the scanner to the computer and turn it on.

Configure Scanner in Perceptive Content

NOTE: The next steps require Perceptive Content Capture Profile Management privileges. Most users will not have the ability to manage their own capture profiles. If you do not know how to manage capture profiles or do not have these permissions, please submit a Help Desk ticket.

1. In the toolbar, click Settings > Options...
2. In the navigation menu, click Capture
3. Under Scanning Profiles, click Manage Devices List...
4. In the Device Manager window, click Create...
5. In the Driver list, select TWAIN and click Next
6. In the Device list, select PaperStream IP fi-7160 then click Next
7. You may be prompted to acquire a license token for the driver you selected. Click Next to acquire one

NOTE: If no tokens are available, please submit a Help Desk ticket.

8. In the Device Name window, click Next
9. Click Finish
10. Set up scanner and capture profiles as necessary using the new device
