Perceptive Content: Connection Profiles

Summary

Set up connection profiles to connect to specific instances of Perceptive Content

NOTE: You may already have profiles defined with different names than those in the images. Following these instructions will create a usable connection profile. You may choose to modify an existing profile instead, or delete unused profiles.

 

  1. At the login screen, click Connection Profiles in the upper-left corner to expand the profiles list

 
  1. At the bottom of the expanded window, click Edit connection profiles

 
  1. In the Connection Profiles window, click Create...

 
  1. In the Modify Connection Profile window, fill in the appropriate information:

 
  • Perceptive Content has three instances:
    • Production
      • The main instance with live documents. Most users will use this instance for managing documents and workflows
        • Name: ImageNow PRD
        • Server ID: imaging.apps.cmich.edu
        • Server Type: Production
        • Port Number: 6000
           
    • Test
      • The instance used for user acceptance testing, used when developing new drawers and features. Access to this instance is given to advanced users by request. Test should not be used to manage actual documents or workflows!
        • Name: ImageNow TEST
        • Server ID: imagingtest.apps.cmich.edu
        • Server Type: Test
        • Port Number: 6000
           
    • Development
      • This instance is used exclusively by the Perceptive Content administration team for testing system upgrades and configurations
         
  1. Click OK to save the profile
     
  2. In the login screen, expand the Connection Profiles tab again to select the appropriate profile and enter your credentials
