Perceptive Content: Configure ImageNow Printer to Capture in Color

NOTE: These steps require local administrator privileges. If you are not an administrator on your computer or do not feel comfortable installing or configuring software, please contact the Help Desk for assistance.

1. Click on My Computer (or This PC)
    
2. In the address bar, navigate to the ImageNow directory
   • Windows 64 bit: c:\Program Files (x86)\ImageNow\etc\
   • Windows 32 bit: c:\Program Files\ImageNow\etc\
      
3. Right-click the file inowprint.ini, choose Open with and select your preferred text editor
   • It is recommended that you use WordPad or Notepad++ if installed
   • Due to the way the file was created, Notepad may not properly display new lines
      
4. Remove the asterisk before [Devmode settings] if present
    
5. Modify the specified settings in the [TIFF File Format] section to the following values:
   • BW compression = Group4
   • Color compression = Medium quality JPEG
   • Indexed compression = Packbits
   • Grayscale compression = Medium quality JPEG​
      
6. Modify the specified settings in the [Save] section to the following values:
   • Color reduction = color
   • Dithering method = Halftone
      
7. Save the file
