Perceptive Content: Logging In via Desktop Client

Summary

Describes how to select a connection profile and log in using the Windows desktop client

Body

  1. Launch the Perceptive Content desktop client:
    1. Click the Perceptive Content icon on the desktop

 
  1. Right-click the Perceptive Content icon (the yellow ball) in the system tray and click Launch Perceptive Content

 
  1. Click the Start Menu and type Perceptive Content, then click the Perceptive Content link

 
  1. At the login screen, select the connection profile by clicking the << Connection Profiles menu button, then selecting the appropriate profile

NOTE: Unless instructed otherwise, use the Production connection profile, typically named ImageNow-PRD.

  • The Test profile is used to connect to the test instance of Perceptive Content, which is used for user acceptance testing on drawer implementations, and should not be used for daily use
  • The Development profile is for use by the Perceptive Content administrators only and should not be used by users. Most users will not have this profile installed
  • If no connection profiles are defined, please read the Perceptive Content: Connection Profiles article

 
  1. Enter your Global ID credentials, and click Connect

NOTE: Only enter your global ID (e.g. norto2mr, daugh1tj). Do not include @cmich.edu or central\.

  1. If you experience problems logging in to Perceptive Content, submit a ticket to the Perceptive Content System for assistance
