COVID Compliance Account Deactivation

To keep our campus and community as safe as possible, Central Michigan University requires every member of the CMU community to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 or participate in weekly COVID-19 testing.

For more information, visit the "Protect Yourself. Protect Others." website:

Members of the CMU community who have found to been out of compliance with these requirements may have their accounts administratively locked until steps are taken towards compliance. In these situations, the following actions are taken:

  • Email notification sent warning Global ID account will be locked
  • SMS text notification sent warning Global ID account will be locked
  • Account is actually locked during timeframe advertised
  • Documentation is generated to record account lock event and sent to non-compliant CMU community member's email account for later review

Copy of notification letter and instructions (for reference)

Our records indicate that you have not submitted your required COVID-19 testing results or proof that one of the three following exceptions apply to you:

  1. You are fully vaccinated with a booster shot (if eligible).
  2. You have received a positive COVID-19 test in the last 90 days.
  3. You have received a positive antibody test in the last 90 days.

If you have had anything less than the full complement of vaccines AND the appropriate booster, you are not fully vaccinated. You must either get the booster and upload that into the COVID-19 Health Screen App or provide weekly evidence of a negative PCR COVID test.

It is your responsibility to comply with the “Protect Yourself. Protect Others” program. Students found in continued non-compliance of the policy may be subject to administrative or disciplinary sanctions, including but not limited to removal from classes, fines, campus restrictions, holds, and/or having your CMU account locked (a locked account will prevent you from using Blackboard and all online services).

Let us work together to keep CMU healthy and safe for the entire community.
